It's that time of year again....when the trainer miles start.
Anyone have any movies/shows they love that are on Netflix streaming and/or Amazon Prime? I do spend a lot of time with Troy - but for long, steady state I would rather not:) I'm honestly open to anything - and chances are very good I won't have seen it as I don't watch much TV and I don't go to the movies (ever). Only requirement: it has to be interesting and/or entertaining!

Can't help you much but we are finished fans of "sufferfest" videos. No time to entertain as we are training hard with those videos. hihi

For running on treadmill I use the virtual Active DVDs. Soooo beautiful. Wants to make you travel.

If I'm not using a spinning dvd, I typically do better with good music than with watching TV shows or movies.

Pirates of the Caribbean part 1. Music flows and you don't need to actually watch it to follow. :p
Will give that a shot! Have been watching a documentary of the Great Divide mountain bike race - watching the racers pedal up mountains has been motivation. Expires off netflix today - so I have to trainer to finish it! I'll start doing more focused work in January with Spinervals (Evil Coach Troy:p), but for now (most days), I'm trying to stay zone 2-3 and build base (without dying of boredom).
My DH does music and loves it. I need more distraction than that. Currently trying to find a stand that holds the iPad more securely and in a better place - since I have some idea I can re-watch med school lectures starting in August. We'll see how that goes....

We bought an ipad holder for a tripod we had. Works beautifully well. Here is link to what we bought on amazon. We use it for our tablet for our kinetic rock and roll app when training.

Hard question to answer without knowing your taste in shows, but I have started watching "Alias" and find it is a good distraction - it has enough action scenes with fast paced music that help with intervals. I have also re-watched "Scrubs" and started watching "Call the Midwife." These are all on Netflix.
Also, I use my earbuds to watch shows while on the trainer, which can sometimes be a little annoying and feel like they are on too loud. I realized that if I watch subtitled shows I don't have to have the volume up so high to hear the dialogue! I rarely have the patience to watch subtitled shows when just watching TV, so for me the trainer is a great place to do this. Watched the original "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" this way and am searching now for more films to try out.
