I need some help! I need a new pair of cycling shorts, and I think I have narrowed it down to LG Neo Power Shorts and SheBeest Century Elite Shorts based on the reviews on this site. I am 5'5 and 130 pounds. I carry a lot of weight in my legs and have larger legs so I want a longer pair of shorts. Can someone please tell me what they recommend? I want to avoid extra shipping charges if I have to return a pair because of "Muffin Top of the Theigh" as I call it because they are too tight. Please help! If you recommend a different pair - I am open. I just would like a short that goes to my knees or just above them.

Call the awesome customer service people at Team Estrogen - seriously. They've taken things out to measure them for me, and they are cyclists - they use the products they sell. They will know for sure.

they can also go over more questions to get the right short for your needs…..I think the Shebeest will be less compressive than the Garneau and that’s something they can tell you.

I think the LG shorts are more flattering, because they are a bit longer and the band around the leg openings is wide so it doesn't dig into your leg. However I think the Shebeest chamois is more comfortable and I would choose comfort over looks. (The Shebeest chamois is thicker than the LG Neo Power and in my experience is less prone to cause chafing problems.)
Note that, for the Shebeest shorts, the chamois is wider in the size L and XL than it is in the size S and M. The size L shorts fit me better but the wider chamois is too wide for me so it bunches up. (I'm 5'7", would like to weigh 140 lbs but am currently closer to 145 these days). I'm actually wearing Gore Oxygen shorts these days and am quite happy with them.

I just bought a pair of the century elite shorts, and found the leg bands very comfy, not tight at all, in fact I was worried they wouldn't be grippy enough, but they stay put.
