Hi All, This bike actually belongs to one of my bike friends, is the same bike I have and absolutely LOVE. However as she adjusts her stable she thinks she'd do better with a full suspension bike for single track and she'll ride her fat bike on gravel and forest service roads. Bike is in excellent shape, she bought it from us in February. Her ad is on Craigslist Boise, price is $1950 Bag was sewn by her especially for this bike. Pedals and water bottle cage are not included but bag can be.
Surly says: Behold ECR. ECR is a sure-footed, multi-terrain, offroad-obsessed 29+ camp bike. It's something of category, a name we made up when we introduced the Krampus, to indicate a wheel size that is more than 29" more width, more height, more traction, more float. The tires even add a bit of low-tech but effective suspension. 29+ might also be called 'mid-fat,' in that the tires are larger than standard 29" mountain bike tires and the rims wider, but not as big or wide as true fat bikes. The approach angle of such big tires (close to 31" ) combined with the extra traction and float of high volume, low weight a lovechild borne of Surly's Krampus, Ogre and Long Haul Trucker. That. ECR is of the 29+ rubber make this bike extremely capable of going lots of places, from roads to trails to little traveled back country.
