I'm off to a jump- freeride clinic this weekend:Sugar Showdown with Kat Sweet. I learn really well in a structured clinic environment, and Duthie Park has whole sections designed specifically for progressive learning. I'm going as a novice-master(ette). It was pretty weird to fill out the questionnaire with 15 years of riding but zero jumping experience.

I just want to learn to be comfortable with how to approach small features in the trail- no real big air goals. With all the coaching I'm doing now, I really should be comfortable and understand this part of riding, even if it is not a primary focus.

My hubby had a pretty bad wreck doing something he should not have been doing in the air, so I will have to work to put that aside.
Wish me luck!,,

Quick update: EXCELLENT program. Wow, amazing actually. I learned how to do up to maybe 3' drop and tabletops. It was a total blast. I hope some good photos to show. I wasn't the biggest or most rad but I did so much that I never imagined I could do.
