I'm reading Mike Magnuson's "Heft on Wheels" again. I loved it the first time, and I'm really loving it the second. I wanted to find a quote for you guys, my favorite thing he says in the whole book, but I couldn't find it, so I am re-reading the whole thing. Even though it is about a subject dear to my heart, cycling, among other things, the thing I _really_ love about "Heft on Wheels" is the prose- it is _so_ beautiful. How can a gifted few write like that? Every sentence is so perfect, so profound.
So my point is, if any of you new guys don't know about that book, you've got to check it out. Also "Lance Armstrong's War," another near-perfect cycling book. And don't waste your money on "On the Postal Bus" or whatever it's called. I'd even send it out, free, if anyone asks.
