I don't know if this has been posted already, but AAA will now come and help members on bikes. It looks like all of my state is covered and some counties in MA and CT. Not sure about the rest of the country. It looks like they will try to fix your bike if they can, and will give you a ride home or to a bike shop if they can't. It also looks like you get 2 bike calls per year.
As someone who rides alone, who has had to take rides from strangers twice due to mechanical issues (and one of the guys was creepy) this is a great thing for me.
Good to know...where did you find out what areas are covered? I'd be interested to see if Maine is.

You can check on your local area's website.
I checked it out and it doesn't look like they have that service here, darn. Hopefully if I have any mechanical problem on a ride it will be something I can fix!

Looks like they don't offer that here either, but the do accept service calls for "recreational vehicles." ;)

Hmm, they offer bicycle service, but it's only good for transportation within a 5 mile radius. That wouldn't do me much good when I'm, say, 30 miles away from my house or my car.

Looks like the first 10 miles are free here, then a mileage fee kicks in.
