I get one of those flash sale e-mail from a online cycling shop. They had a flash sale for Pivlock V2 Impossibly Black for about 1/3 of the regular price. Not 1/3 off but 1/3 the cost. I've had Smith brand of sunglasses in the past and I like them so I jumped and ordered one. It arrived on Tuesday and checked its fit on me. It's about right.
Today, I went and had my eye re-examined. Last time I did was about 4 years ago so it was time. My regular glasses is frameless and the lens had a crack where the nose bridge attached. Only a matter of time before the glasses fell apart. So really, it was time. Got the prescription, ordered a replacement lens for my regular glasses.
I'll get the "new" glasses in about a week and half from now and see if the prescription is right for about a week or so. If everything is right, in about two and half weeks from now, I'll be sending my prescription to Sports Optical in Colo. a place where I had my previous set of lens "inserts" made. They said since I was a returning customer, I'll get a discount. Very cool.
Finally, I have a new pair of sunglasses in about a month.
yayy... I can stop squinting in the bright sun.
