Now that my nest is empty I have become the crazy bike lady. Bikes just keep following me home... and like a good hoarder, I love each and every one. Here are *some* of my fleet:

Where/how do you keep them all?

If I had the space, I would probably do more this and then do re-sells (one or two projects at a time) because I've had good luck in the past when I lived alone and could score a bike cheap, pretty it up, and sell it on CL. I love cleaning and fixing little things. I also love oldies but goodies.

3-4 will fit in the apartment storage unit, the folder lives in the trunk of my mini-van 9 months of the year, 2 are locked up to the apt bike rack, and one stays in my apartment. (this one rotates depending on what I feel like riding that week) I used to purchase inexpensive bikes and clean/flip them but lately I've been scoring great deals on nice like-new bikes that I end up keeping.

Wow. That's a lot of bikes! A "herd" of bikes haha.

I can't imagine having that many since we live in a house with very limited storage and no garage (part of the reason I traded two for one on Friday) but now selling my old roadie on CL has me wanting to buy a flip bike again. I'd have to resist that temptation to keep something since we don't have any room for me to have more bikes haha. The BF would KILL me if I was like, "honey, I brought one home" since I just consolidated. He's very minimalist. When we move, I think I will set up a bit of a "shop", get some stands, and "adopt" a bike or two to flip again.
