I was stopped a local university engineering student that was doing a survey of passing cyclists on a popular bike path downtown, on our cycling habits, etc.

For question on age bracket, I pointed to 55+ and nearly apologized for my age sheepishly. He said, "Ah no, so far many of the cyclists today are older..meaning at least mid-life onward". So never underestimate yourself. :)

Today at 6:00 am it was 20 degrees C and rose up to around 5 degrees C. around 4:30 pm. (Extreme temp. rises are the norm in our area of Canada.)

Good thoughts, and encouraging to see our age bracket out there representing!

At least spring is around the corner.

I made a boo- boo, I meant -20 degrees C. in my message.

This local survey of winter cyclists done last year found 70% of winter cyclists were male with majority over 35 and more over 44 yrs. old. :)
It is improving ...several years ago it was 80% male cyclists in winter. http://blogs.calgaryherald.com/2014/02/11/who-rides-a-bike-in-winter-study-sheds-light-on-thousands-of-urban-winter-cyclists-in-calgary/
