as Winterpalooza for lst time. Which for our city is ....slow because last 2 years included cities from Finland, 2 other cities in Canada, a couple in U.S.
Here I am with dearie, for our free outdoor photo booth pic which was provided to any interested cyclist by a busy bike path:

135 cyclists stopped by within a 2 hr. period after 3:30 pm on Feb. 14 for this cycling love-fest. Yes a lot were men. Ah well, hope that will change within the next 5 years.

Here are international results for Winter Bike Day. http://winterbiketoworkday.org/2013results/ Our city placed 3rd. I think our city winter cyclists fought back after not participating when this annual event started 2 years ago or so. Uh, maybe we're just cycling in winter oblivious to the rest of the world. It actually makes some interesting reading. There's a fuller statistical breakdown if you're a numbers geek...or run a bike business..
Registering online was free and of course, it is relying on people's honesty:

Over 2,000 people registered and cycled.
