I had a wonderful surprise in the mail today!! Sock guy socks and a great bike card from my SS. Very cool socks. If I knew how to post photos, I'll attach one!!!

Thanks!!! I've been shopping for my SS and should have it in the mail by the end of the week!

Very cool. I do not know my secret cycling sister's shoe size yet. I am out of town right now,skiing in Colorado, but I am hoping to have that info and some socks for her when I return.

I'm pretty excited cos I sent mine out on Monday and the nice lady at the post office said that they should be in US at the end of this week or beginning of next.. Did you know that you have to tell what you're sending if you send something to US? Like a customs clarfication.. weird.. :confused:

You have to fill out a customs declaration when you send things out of the US, too.

I don't know the sock size either. So if you are reading this and didn't post a sock size, please do! I figured I'd just send medium and hope for the best. If it's wrong, then hopefully they'll say something so I can get it right the next time!

Yes, customs forms are required for out of country items. Just make sure you mark it as a gift! I lived overseas twice, and it's a pain making out forms for all the Christmas presents. I got good at consolidating gifts--send to parents and ask them to distribute to brothers/sisters who lived in same city.

Wow, what a great Secret Sister I have! Beautiful wrapping, chocolate, an insulated water bottle (I NEED one of those!), little bags of trail mix for, well, the trail, a little tube of hand cleaner, and lip balm...did I forget anything?

As for my other Secret Sister--the one I sent the gift to--I had it sent directly from the store, and I forgot to add a personal note. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so I'll send a note from where I will be...so if you read this and you get a gift with no note, sorry. I'll do better next time!

I received my cool mtb socks from my Secret Sista! Many thanks and I'll try to keep the white socks clean - no promises though, lol. I love them!

I got mine mailed out this weekend so she should see them about midweek.

I just got my Secret Sister package, and love, love, love it! I got the cutest pair of Oscar the Grouch socks, a carrot cake Clif Bar (yu-um!), a Pria bar (chocolate peanut butter -- double yum), and Jelly Belly Sport Beans. The timing could not have been better, since tomorrow I'm going on my first group ride with a local ladies group! Secret Sister, you're the best!!! Thanks again :D

I too wanted to thank my thoughtful secret sister. I'm sure the package arrived early last week but I was out of town on a business trip so it was waiting for me when I arrived home this weekend. What a fun surprise!
I received the cutest brite orange sunburst socks (they fit perfectly, even though I forgot to give my shoe size) and some sport jelly beans. I had never heard of these but look forward trying thank. Thanks to by secret sister. You were so thoughtful. :p

I've been crazy about checking the mail the last two weeks, and my package finally arrived today!! I _love_ starfish! And they fit well into my theme of only wearing animals or hearts! I dug around and found a bunch of sleeveless jerseys they match, (lime, blue, pink) expecially my lime green with turquoise trim Presta Tank. They look like they would be good running socks, too.

And the baby lights- I love those too! I can _always_ use more lights. I was thinking of seeing if there was a way to attach the white one to the front of my helmet, as a reading light, since the stoooopid headlight I bought is not working out well. And put the little red one on the back! (I already use a white one hung on my left aerobar to read maps, and a red one hung on my right aerobar to (hopefully) read my computer.

I got my Secret Sister package yesterday. :D :D :D :D

The mail lady also brought my new plastic Jimi wallet that I found out about here. I'm Rich! :D

So there was nothing else to do but put on my new pink sparkley Road Queen socks, load up the new wallet and take a ride to the store to pick up ingredients for the yummy recipe she sent.

Did I mention that as an ex-patriot Coloradan I really appreciated the card, too?

I want to say thanks for my socks from my s.s who lives in GA, they are way cool and should give me a real "boost" while I'm out riding. I am going to try the recipes you sent, I love spicy foods and am always looking for new ones to try. I am working on next months pkg to send to my s.s who lives in Western Australia, I think I've pinpointed who she is (CrazyCanuck I believe). I'm going to have to find out what products can or can't be sent. I plan on sending a little bit more, upon reading what others have sent and recieved, I feel really cheap and unimaginative at sending just socks. Thanks again to my s.s. for the socks and the little note that was attached, and a thank you to mountain puddles for taking the time to do such a neat and fun thing.. shelly
