I finally got the final blog post from DH's Katy Trail ride done today. If you'd care to check it out, the links are below. He did the full trail in four days (over 60 miles a day including riding to/from our lodging). Since I didn't feel prepared to ride the kind of mileages he was planning on, I drove our car from hotel to hotel, took care of our dog, and got to ride some on three of the four days. The weather was perfectly gorgeous, and we both had a lot of fun.

I live in the Jefferson City area and frequently ride the trail. It was fun to see it all through your eyes!

Awesome! Great pictures too! Is that the Arkel seat post rack and bag on your bikes?

This looks like fun.
In 2007, we visited DH's brother outside St Louis. One day, we drove to the wine country (the Tour of Missouri had just gone through the day before), and saw the trail. I'd love to do this one day, but, since we'd both be riding, there'd be no support! And of course, it would require a new bike....

The rack pack is indeed an Arkel Tailrider. We've both had one since 2004 when we did a loaded tour in updated NY. They have faded a bit but otherwise have held up really well!

The rack is a Blackburn and is excellent as well. Ordered from Amazon just recently:

Glad you enjoyed the blog, Donna!
