I read the VD post and thought I'd start another one. We had wonderful weather in the MidWest on Tuesday (50's). On my way home from work, I called my LBS and asked if we were riding that night. Short answer - yes. Immediatly called the bf of 6.5 years to "feel him out". We've lived together since 2000. He asked how my VD was. Freaked, I said, "oh is it Valentine's Day?". He laughed and said he didn't buy it. I had made a ton of Valentine's Day cards to sell to finance my way for Team in Training's Lake Tahoe century in June. He asked if I wanted to go out to eat. I thanked him and said something about the huge lines at all our favorite restaurants and it's wasted money. At about that time, my riding partner beeped in so I never got to tell him about that night's ride.

While I'm talking to my riding partner, her husband calls my man and asks him out for beer at the local pub. BF says he can't, we're probably going to go out. Riding partner's husband spills the beans and says that I'm riding tonight with his woman. Yikes! Busted!

BF was cool. He thinks we're all crazy to ride in downtown Cincinnati at night in the cold so he wasn't going. Frankly, I don't see him riding EVER downtown daytime, nightime, summer, or winter!

Seven people showed up (up from our normal four), weather was awesome! Saw a lot of runners out gearing up for the Flying Pig Marathon in May. Saw othe cyclists out too. We all had a great time. We were supposed to ride on Wednesday too but I felt the need to stay home and make it up to him. Weather is back in the teens and the ten day forecast looks crappy. Did you ride on Valentine's Day?
