I think I might actually be in love with my SMP Drakon saddle (this is after trying something like a dozen different saddles that all gave me some degree of hamburger crotch over the past 4 years). I'm thinking 1 degree more padding would be perfect for on the back of our tandem (which I've avoided riding in large part due to the fact that it's difficult for me to shift around to relieve my bits when I'm riding stoker).

zoom, I'm currently messing around with an SMP Avant. Not sure if it's going to work out or not. It's definitely more padded and wider than the Drakon, which is the model my lbs wants me to try, and the 209, which I tried, but thought was too narrow. If I don't end up loving it enough to never take off my bike, I'd be willing to lend it to you to try out. I should know in a couple weeks.

Oh, that would be excellent!

You know, when I took the Drakon out of the package I thought -- holy hell, this is too narrow. This will never work. But, dang...it feels like an extension of my butt. Or like my bike is an extension of me. I hope it's not just beginner's luck with this thing. We're still tweaking position fore/aft and height, since that dip in the center makes it effectively a bit lower than my previous saddle, but first impression of this thing is "a game-changer," as I told my DH last night.

I think this saddle is 136 or 138mm wide and my sit bones are in the 125-130mm range. And it's really domed. Reminds me a bit of the Turbomatic, which totally didn't work for me. I really had low expectations. And then was totally wow'ed.

I have a used black Lite 209 that I'd sell for $100 plus shipping. PM if you're interested.
