Hi Just want to know if any of the girls who have an amira are size 44 cm. How tall are you and do you have toe overlap.
Thanks,

I can't speak to the Amira, but I can speak to toe overlap. I have some toe overlap on all of my road/touring bikes. In my opinion, it's mostly a non-issue. I have to be mindful at slow speeds, but it's generally not a big deal.
If you do a search for "toe overlap" you'll find a number of threads on the issue.

Can you try riding a 44 Amira at the store on a trainer to see if you personally have toe overlap?
I'm 5ft 1inch on a 48cm Amira. Clipped in. No toe overlap.

I did get to test ride an Amira (and I would ride a 44cm). There is some toe overlap but it wasn't noticeable to me. It is a very nice bike. Our local Specilaize/Felt dealer had a road bike test ride day, so got to try one then. I actually have a Felt F-5. I'm right at 5ft.
I'm 5' even with short arms. I ride a 44cm amira. I have size 5-5.5 shoes and I have no toe overlap.

Thanks, for the feedback.
Eden I'm 4' 11" so I guess I too would go with the 44 cm .
A good bike fit has to do with so much more than simply your height.... at 4'11" you *probably* will need a 44, but depending on your build you might ride a larger bike.... I have a long enough inseam to ride a 48 - but I have short arms and the reach is waaaaaaaay to long for me on a frame that big (I need a short stem even on the 44) - but that's my story- you could be built very differently than I am, so be sure to go to a shop where they are knowledgeable about bike fit and will be sure to get you on the bike you need.

Yea, I know. My problem is my inseam it's just 27.5 inches. I have a Rodriguez and its 49 top tube. I feel comfortable on that. How do you like the Amira?
I like the Amira a lot. I had a Ruby before it and I definitely feel like the Amira is a faster and more stable through corners.

Toe overlap's not the end of the world. I have it on my 48cm road bike and it's not even an issue 99.9% of the time. On my 44cm CX bike it can be an issue, but I'm aware of it and careful to not pedal when my wheel is turned at low speed. If I had it on a mountain bike it would probably be a deal-breaker, but on a road bike...I doubt I'll ever get away from it.
