I posted this in one my other threads thinking most of you have seen it. Some said they hadn't so here it is:

When the spirits are low,
when the day appears dark,
when work becomes monotonous,
when hope hardly seems worth having,
just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin
down the road, without thought on anything
but the ride you are taking."
-Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 1896

Hard to believe this was written in 1896 and still holds true today.

Yup, poem captures it best.

Glad you're encouraged by your own cycling, bit by bit.

Last 2.5 wks. I've been packing alot more cycling with hills while in Vancouver before I return to Calgary where bike paths and roads are in various stages of repair because of a major disaster flood 2 wks. ago. For certain, I know some of my favourite routes of decent length won't be possible for a few months.
