better than beer!

Up and out earlier (7:30 as opposed to 8:00) to beat the heat and to do a tire test to check for a slow leak. Manged a brisk 40 miles at 15.5 (whoo hoo!) and arrived home just as the feels like temps were edging up out of 90s. Came into the house, finished cool left over breakfast latte and then dove into a bowl of cold cubed watermelon.

Bliss and very refreshing. And I still have a nice cold beer to go with dinner.

I wish my 41 mile ride today had been like that. Between a late start and mechanicals we didn't get done until noon today and I was pretty much fried. I immediately drove straight to the Sonic and got a slushy, which resulted in a brain freeze. Came home and drank ice water and beer. I now feel better :)

The high here today was 81. I snuck out for a quick 11 mile ride uphill - loved the downhill. So, only a bit over 23 today, but today was a run day so I probably should not have been riding anyway. I drank a beer though :)
