Hi, do any of you have a place to shop that has nice quality 100% cotton pj separates? Google options are overwhelming.

I am shopping for my sister who is a Buddhist Nun on a multi-year retreat. I get letters twice a year with a shopping list of things she needs.

thanks for sites you can recommend for nice quality but not too $$.

I have a Jockey set that I received as a gift. Capris and a tank, jersey-type cotton blend knit, very comfortable and non-binding, and they've held up very well over the years. Just looking at Jockey's site, the styles are discontinued, but the pants and tops are sold separately.

Do you mean you want to buy tops separately from bottoms, or it's okay to buy a set as long as it's two pieces rather then a nightgown?

I have some pjs and summer nightgowns from LL Bean. They're pretty basic, but they've held up well. I think they might run a bit large -- I usually wear a medium in their sweaters and shirts but a small generally fits me better for pajamas. They have great customer service so you can call them and ask for sizing advice if you need it. And they have free shipping and a great return policy.

I have some sleepwear separates from Life is Good that are 100% cotton and not overly expensive. You can check their website, but lots of other retailers carry them as well. There might also be some retail shops in your areas, as there are in mine.

Bottoms only.
Susan, do you have a link to the Jockey separates? All I could find were flannels and fleece.
I need neutral/solid colors too....<sigh>

This is a set, but you might find others on ebay:

I have a wonderful organic cotton set of pjs from a lovely Buddhist friend, Raam Raj brand, but could not find them online. She gave them to me as a gift several years ago, but the website seems to be defunct now.

You could try Gaiam as well, though their stuff tends to be a bit pricey.

Good luck!

J. Jill has some cotton pj pants on sale, in a solid color. Most of my clothes are from J. Jill and they hold up very well.

Solids rules them out then. And I see I looked too quickly, what I have is jersey knit, but their site actually doesn't specify the fabric beyond the fiber content. Summer Bouquet Striped Capris (http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=51865&p=677165#post677165) are 100% cotton, and the Summer Bouquet/Summer Bouquet Floral (http://www.jockey.com/Catalog/Product/summer-bouquet-floral-sleep-capri) are cotton/rayon. But all three are prints. Hard to tell from the photos whether it's woven or knit.

Gaiam's solid color organic cotton/spandex jersey separates (http://www.gaiam.com/organic-cotton-lace-trimmed-set/20-0255_set,default,pd.html?start=9&cgid=2010300) are on sale now ... still not cheap, but less than full retail, and they're sold out of everything but small in the pants....

Wait! Irulan, aren't you a person who sews?
Pajama pants would be pretty easy if you know her general size and shape.

I don't have time for personal sewing. It's more cost effective for me to purchase something for her.
