Thought this link might be amusing (or not).:) I was recently abused by a pedestrian - she stepped into the cycle lane on the road without looking; as I was doing nearly 30k at the time, I almost ran her down, and she yelled at me for "riding too fast". Speed limit on that road is 60k, but obviously that applies only to cars?

Thank you for a morning chuckle.

And I agree with the author. (That means she's smart! :D )

If they do run into someone, they at least (like the bee) do their victim the favour of hurting themselves in the process, which is why, if you had any sense, you'd save your hatred for the motorist, who (like the wasp) injures without care. Cyclists are persistently

HAHAHAHHA! What agreat article... the above quote had me rolling... yep it's true, if a cyclists runs someone over we are at least courteous enough to get hurt ourselves in the process! :D too funny...

Thanks for the article! That's one worth sharing!

I too have seen many a pedestrian step off the curb without even looking in either direction to see if someone is coming. I have this feeling that these folks just don't see us (no matter WHAT we have on)!

Hear Hear - pedestrians stepping into the cycle lane without looking is probably the thing that annoys me most - and it happens practically every day

But heck, if they looked either direction they might dislodge the cell phone ear piece in the one ear and the iPod ear piece in the other ear.

Yes, SK and then there are drivers(most women from my observations) that scoot in front of you only to turn right (in front of you!) cell phone in ear, talking, talking, talking!

My favourite pedestrians' assumption is that just because the cars in the car lanes aren't moving, the bikes in the bike lane must likewise be at a standstill.
