On Saturday I dropped my 2012 Specialized Ruby Elite off at the LBS for its free one year tune up. It was supposed to take a week, but it was done the same day. The LBS called and we picked it up. I also had the LBS replace the white handle bar tape with some blue tape which nearly matches the accent paint on the bike. (The white tape was damaged when the other bike rubbed against it on the bike rack.)

The bike has been in the garage since Saturday afternoon and all it does is NAG. It nags about being having to be stuck in the garage. It nags about not getting to go outside. It nags about not being ridden. My goodness, there is still snow on the ground. What is it thinking??

And it doesn't think its black seat goes well with its new look with the new tape. It thinks it needs a white to seat to make it look classier. I just don't know what to do. Between that and and its nagging, I am going nuts!

I know that feeling. Both my bikes are giving me looks--"WHY CAN'T WE GO OUT? You are a terrible bike-parent!" I don't think they understand weather, especially not the cross bike!

You could threaten to attach it to the trainer if it's too impatient for spring...

Next thing you know it will be suggesting a vacation in Texas, California or Florida :-)

Can't do that. It's cousin, the Giant, is already on the trainer and is too lazy to get off it and out into the world.

My bike is like a little puppy, sitting there looking at me during the weekdays and wanting to go out and ride. Not sure how puppy dog eyes work relative to bikes, but that's what it feels like. :p

My road bike, CX bike, and fat bike are all P.O.d at the 29er for breaking my wrist and messing up the last several months of rides! :p

My Gunnar is getting all my time. I pet my Calfee when I walk by it, promising to take it out soon. I think it feels betrayed. I'm sad to think how lonely they both will feel when my Kirk arrives.
