I just ordered a Specialized Ruby Sport -- it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. I am impatient already. I've decided that I just can't ride my Trek Lexa for distance. It's not comfortable after 10-15 miles and we've made a million adjustments. The Ruby is an upgrade from my Dolce which fits me like it was made for me.

Lordy, girl, you are amassing quite a stable! :D Congrats on the new ride! Are you planning on selling any of the existing posse?

Geez, and here I am wondering how to justify a Bike Friday. But I guess "justify" is part of the n+1 equation. Congratulations, and thanks for reducing my guilt!

I am. My Trek hybrid is scheduled to be test ridden by two people who are interested in it. I am not sure about the others. I have the Dolce and the Myka at my other house so I don't have to pack bikes every weekend. The Trek Lexa and the Trek Skye are here for my use. I've spent so much time messing with the fit of the Lexa that I am giving up. It's fine for under 10-15-20 miles, but after that it kills me. I couldn't wait to get off it this past weekend. My Dolce is a perfect fit and 50+ miles are a joy. This Ruby fits exactly like the Dolce, but it's carbon and has upgraded components. Since I am registered for Cycle Oregon which is 500+ miles in 7 days, I am going for the comfort.
I might part with the Lexa or keep it for shorter jaunts.

Definitely! I am so impatient to ride it. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow. It was just getting the tune up/make sure everything is tight etc.

Congratulations!
Hang on to the Lexa for a little bit. See if you ride it at all in the next few months. If not, perhaps send it to a new home.
I sort of want to show your signature block to my boyfriend. "See, I don't have a problem. There are other people like this too!" :D

I got to pick her up today and only had the chance to ride a couple of miles before needing to get out of the rain. It's a very smooth ride and I can't wait to get out Saturday. It looks black in the photo but the color is listed as carbon blue.

We are getting snow this weekend. Meh. That groundhog needs to be charged with felonious fraud...

I definitely think that TrekDiana is in the lead for the one year n+1 bike addiction.
I sure hope that your bike shops have been really taking great care of you because you are definitely a repeat customer!

Your new bike is a beauty! Congratulations!
Just curious, in what way was the Lexa uncomfortable?

I get great service and very quick service too. It's not a big place here. I think I am done buying bikes for awhile. I have what I need.

Thanks. Regarding the Lexa - I just can't get it to fit right. We've done lots of adjustments, changed the stem, seat etc. Worked on the fit several times, even got it up on the trainer and measured and moved probably a handful of times. It starts out fine, but I can't get any distance before I get uncomfortable. Strange too because my other two Treks are great.

I have a Giant that, while we've tweaked it and tweaked it, I can't stay comfortable, even though the measurements are now the same as my cyclocross bike, which fits quite well. Giant's road geometry doesn't work for me, but I found their mountain bikes to be quite comfortable. Funny how that works.
