I've installed Tapatalk on my new phone, curious if others here use it and if you have found any negatives with it? There is a small cost to it, but it does seem to be easier to use for posting rather than using the browser on my phone. I like that I can access all of my forums (all three of them) from the same location and I don't have to do near as much scrolling as I would in on my phone's browser.

I use it exclusively for forum on both my phone and tablet. I don't see any real negatives except that in some screens it's two clicks back to the main listing of "your" forums. Hmm, you can't install smilies or bb code either, but the trade off is being formatted for those small screens.

I didn't like it so I got rid of it. The reason I didn't like it is that I found myself on it too much. My time is irreplaceable and I found myself spending way too much time on forums. Since I've deleted it, I spend much less time on forums and more time doing other things that are more important to me.

i love it and use it for the three forums I'm active on. It's nice to do a quick check when waiting around someplace. I like that it will pull up the latest posts in participated threads. The only thing I don't like are the alerts it sends to my phone, which I'm sure I could disable, but I haven't taken the time to figure out.

I hated it. I found it weird and awkward to have to go through so much stuff to actually find TE. I have no issue using TE on my I Phone; it's marked as a favorite, I'm always logged in, and it usually appears open as soon as I click on Safari. I might have to click on the refresh icon, but the whole thing takes about 5 seconds.
I don't do any other forums; occasionally I have to look up something on the web on my phone, which is much more of a pain in the azz than connecting to TE.
Needless to say, I deleted it.

You can do that on tapatalk as well. I only have three forums on mine when I open it.

I set mine up that way, too.

Same here - it was a challenge to find my forums initially (TE and others), but it only opens those when I open the program.

I like Tapatalk, it is much easier to read on the Iphone. But I have only used it to read the forum, how do you get it set up to post too?

when you tap on the text of a post, you should get options "quote-share-more"

Yeah, I guess I was too dumb and impatient to figure it out. But since I wasn't really upset at how I access the forums from my browser, it didn't seem like something I really need.

I didn't have to do anything special to do that. I select the post that I want to reply to and a little menu comes up that provides different options, "reply" being one of them. I tried to do a screen-shot but still figuring out my new phone...

Hmmmmm....wonder what I am doing wrong? When I tap on a post, it just gives me two options "report" and "share". I am sure I am missing a step somewhere, but I don't know what it is.

Catrin, if you are using an iPhone, you press the home and power button at the same time for a screen shot. Of course then you have to figure out how to post it!

Forgive me for such a basic question, but have you signed into TE on Tapatalk? I've found it only needs to be done once.
