I just read about this a few days ago, actually in one of the British magazines. It's just called "RideID", it is a free app and when you download it on your phone you can put in two emergency contact numbers and your own info. It shows up on your phone screensaver, or I think you can use it as wallpaper too if you want.

It's really just another version of the ICE info you can put into your phone, but if you keep your phone password protected, this will show up on the screen anyway. Won't show if the phone is turned off though. Here is what it looks like:

16027

I think this was a great idea, just downloaded it on my phone yesterday.

I love anything that makes it easier to identify unconscious people who hit my ER. This is a great idea. But, I still think that something attached to your body is better than not attached. Phones, wallets, etc. can be lost when the paramedics cut off people's clothes, or they can just be thrown off during the impact. But a bracelet stays attached.

Yeah, I assume if I'm ever hit hard enough to not be able to communicate, that my phone will be lost or destroyed in the process. I won't do the Road ID shoe tabs because I know of more than one person who was hit hard enough (while running) to have his shoes go flying. I stick to wrist ID bands, since I assume they're more likely to stay put and stay useful.
