I'm looking at this Pearl Izumi jacket at the bike shop. It fits perfectly. I'm thinking of buying it. It's one of those things that I technically don't really need but I think I would wear it a lot if I had it.

Does anyone have one? It says its good for riding in cold temperatures (<15-35F). I don't ride when it's that cold, but I like to take long walks in the winter so I think I would wear it for that.

VERY nice NY Biker! At that price it better be good for really cold temps and it sounds like the perfect cold weather walking companion. I really like the peacock, red and pink. The reversibility is quite nice!

I do like Pearl's peacock blue color, and the orange. :)

That looks like a really nice jacket, though I can't comment on it. And lots of people at work wear their Pearl stuff out-and-about. My only complaint for walking would be the lack of pockets in the front, but I like to put my hands in my pockets.

I was thinking of waiting a week or two for the sale on winter apparel to start, since the price is quite high, even though there was a risk that they would sell out before then. Then I added up all the overtime I worked this month, which is quite a bit. I get paid for OT, and it's made me tired and cranky especially since it was only necessary because a new manager at work made me waste time doing stupid useless stuff instead of getting my real work done.

So I'm going to treat myself and get the jacket now. Might as well have something nice for my suffering. ;)

I especially think the jacket will come in handy when I'm traveling, since it will take up less room in suitcase than my usual combination of fleece pullovers and windproof layers. And I will earn bike shop loyalty points with the purchase, which will help me earn a discount on a future purchase.

Woo!

What color are you thinking of getting?

Orchid. AKA purple. It was the one they had in stock in my size, and I like it a lot.

That is a beautiful color. Please do post your review of this jacket here when you get a chance to do so.
