Team Estrogen is a Hillsboro, Oregon based online retailer of women's bicycling, triathlon and fitness apparel.
We are seeking to hire a full-time employee for a unique marketing/customer service position. Ideal for a business generalist with emphasis in marketing.
We will also consider a June 2006 graduate (part-time, going to full-time upon
graduation) in business administration or marketing.
The primary job responsibility (50% or more) will be to work with management to broaden existing marketing efforts, as well as develop and implement new marketing strategies. However, as Team Estrogen is a small company, all employees are expected to contribute to the day to day operation of the business in various customer service functions.
Marketing Responsibilities:
**Print campaigns (develop, identify appropriate outlets, execute)
**Pay-per-click (manage and optimize ongoing ad campaign)
**Co-op ads (leverage vendor-provided ad dollars and support)
**Contest/giveaways (develop and execute)
**Sponsorships and event prizes
**PR (develop and execute an organized campaign to increase TE exposure in the press)
**E-newsletters (plan/design, implement & track response)
Customer Service Responsibilities:
**Assist customers with selecting appropriate apparel via phone or email
**Support the shipping or returns departments on high-volume days
**Support receiving or other functions as needed
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience with or be interested in learning more about on-line pay-per-click advertising.
Have experience with, or have taken course work in, print advertising and newsletter marketing. The ability to design creative and visually interesting advertisements is a plus, as is experience with Homesite, Dreamweaver and Photoshop software.
Have experience with, or have had sufficient financial coursework in, managing a marketing budget, calculating return on investment of various advertising campaigns and reporting results to management. Must be proficient in Excel or other spreadsheet software.
Have a keen interest in bicycling, triathlon or running and be enthusiastic about selling and wearing technical, sport-specific apparel.
Have a pleasant speaking voice and enjoy interacting with vendors and customers on the phone and via written communication.
