Dogmama

Has anybody else noticed this? The last few things I've received have been defective/opened or obviously "seconds" from the sellers. I ordered some dog toys that have a horrible chemical smell. I ordered a travel mug that was very cheaply made but not cheap in price ($15). I have had two of the same kinds of coffeemaker (Bunn - $100) and both have broken in a short period of time. Amazon is great with returns but it's a giant PIA to box it up, mail it and then track the credit.
I'm looking at a suspension trainer system for $99 and am almost ready to order from Sears (at the same price) but I'll have to wait longer to receive it. I don't want anything that is a second from China - or whatever - to suddenly give out & land me on my nose.
Wondering if others have had that experience & if there is something going on with Amazon. It's interesting to read the reviews - some people have radically different experiences with the same product. It appears that different vendors fill orders for products so I'm wondering if some of them deal with cheap aftermarket knock offs. I wanted to order a Chi hair dryer but saw that the Chi company will not honor anything purchased through the Internet because China is making Chi knockoffs that don't last.
Internet ordering used to be so convenient but constantly returning things mitigates any convenience. IMO. TE excepted of course!
