Have y'all gone onto trekbikes.com and built your own bike yet? Oh, it's so neat--picking the colors and the components. I chose mint pearl and gold or serious pink and gold. Unfortunately the one I came up with would cost me $4576.99! And that was being sorta frugal on some of the components! Anyway - - go to "project one" and have fun. I think my prospects of affording one of these are pretty slim. It's like my accountant told me --"Yes, you can retire, but somebody's gonna have to die first!" Details, details.....

Pretty cool. Good thing I can't afford it, because I could never decide on a color. I relaly liked Widow Maker, but also came up with red carbon with red polka dots with serious pink front/rear.

I got my husband & son involved. We had a lot of fun with it, but we had different ideas about which design was best. Came up with a few color combinations that would certainly get attention. I'm saving up for a new trek. Dreaming of customizing was all I was doing.

Hee. :D I love this sort of stuff! Alas, Firefox spat the dummy quite spectacularly when I tried to get onto the Trek website. :(

I ordered what I built. Project One Madone 5.9 WSD - Andromeda. It was cashy, but worth the money to finally have the exact bike that I wanted - including color, size, components:D Now, if spring would only arrive.
