Can't wait until Saturday to take her to the LBS for an inspection and for a short ride after that. I got it for my oldest son (17 y/o) He always ask me if he can go with me when I am going road biking . He really doesn't like Mountain biking but all he got is a Walmart MTB and he is unable to keep up with that even when we go around the neighborhood. He really don't like mountain biking like my youngest son. So I have been looking for something good but at a reasonable price because I really don't know if he really gonna take it serious , enjoy and appreciate road biking. So thats why I got this bike....but I am getting attached already ...lol..

It's 'just' a beautiful, classic Bianchi.

You might ask them to service the drive-train and cablewires. New wires are cheap. If the drive-train and shifting are optimal, your son will enjoy the riding experience that much more.

I just took her around the block last night and it felt sooo nice and smooth !.. didn't play too much with the gears though but they felt ok. I don't think it will need big maintenance...maybe some adjusting to the brake levers I kinda felt one of them were a bit lose. But def she is going to the LBS ASAP !!!...I might drop her off tomorrow at my lunch break.

So I took her to the LBS yesterday picked her up today. She got new tubes and tires and they checked all around and they say everything is in 100% working order they just adjusted a bit on the gears and the handlebar that was a bit too low for a beginner in my opinion. I was going to put a new handlebar tape but decided to wait for later because I dont know If I might be replacing the drop bar thats pretty small and narrow...I like it like that... but don't know if its going to work for my son, so wont be able to tell until he starts using it regularly and more than likely it wont be until spring . I installed a water bottle cage that I had laying around . The saddle was pretty beat up so I put on the one I took off from my Giant Defy roadie for now. The guys at the LBS also said that this is a great find . :D
