I am off work in an hour and would like to get to the gym and play around...I enjoy sweating and shaking the work day off...BUTTTT i kind of feel like i got hit by a bus bc of the race yesterday LOL
so question- what do you do the day after a race? Rest? Jog? Spin?

Depends - If I was real tired, I'll eat and rest and do nothing, maybe a little walk to get the kinks out; semi tired, maybe I would just spin a little real lightly to get the blood moving around, nothing hard enough to tax the muscles and eat; I would never jog, but I hate running!

I think i am going to jog for a bit just to get the day off...but after that i'll foam roll. you just cant go wrong with rolling around on some foam to get the aches out!

Nutrition post-race was a huge factor for me. Immediately after the race, I had to have somewhat *healthy* recovery calories, something like slamming a chocolate milk. Then alternating water with my post-race beer. Solid meal, like a sandwich, within a reasonable timeframe.
When I did beer immediately after the race, the headaches were *legendary*.
Light recovery spin or even just a walk and some stretching. Can't do much else. :)
