I love PI's Symphony shorts and capris so I naturally ordered them in a tight. Oh my gosh, they are TIGHT! Has anyone else had this problem with tights that have a windblocker panel in them? I looked at the size chart and ordered my usual size as I didn't think I would need to size up. I really could have used them today while out riding. :(
Any recs for a thermal padded tight for 35-45 degree weather?

I am really not fond of ANY Windblocker stuff. I have had windblocker items from PI, New Balance, and now Gore. They all really irritate me. To get them to fit through my thighs they end up HUGE through the hips and waist. I recently picked up a pair of the Gore knicker version of my favorite shorts and I am not thrilled. They don't stretch enough and keep pulling down, which makes the chamois not sit up snug against my nether region, so it slides around. And yet they are so loose through the hips and belly that my gut ends up actually touching my upper thighs while I wear them.
I'm pretty much at the point where I won't buy wind-blocker stuff ever again. I'd rather just not ride outdoors if it's cold enough to need them or maybe wear windpants over tights. The best solution I have found for cold is Sugoi SubZero tights. They are a really heavy, really stretchy running tight. I rode last Winter on a day when it was 18º with those over a pair of cycling shorts. Worked pretty well.
