Hello, my name is Shelly. I loved bike riding as a teen. It meant everything to me. Add in 20 plus year married to the wrong person and 215lbs over weight and you have a person who is not vary happy and have lost them selves.
Well I got rid of the ex and started to find my self again. I am down to 145 lbs over what I need to be and getting more active every day. I have also rediscovered the love of my life, biking :) The great thing is I have two teens who like to bike too!

Congrats on the weight loss! What kind of bike do you ride? I wish I could convince my child to come out of his bedroom, much less ride a bike.

I ride a Giant Boulder MTB that I am slowly turning into a commuter/fun bike. I also have a old french bike that I am rebuilding and a EZ 1 sun recumbent.

Welcome Shelly! I'm fairly new here too. I rode EVERYWHERE as a teenager, and then just sortof lost interest in biking until last fall when I got back into it. One of my sons loves to ride (the other is getting interested), and I can't wait until we can all go on rides together.
I love reading all of the knowledge here -- turns out I knew very little but I'm learning a lot!
Congratulations on the weight loss too. It sounds like you've found your mojo and there's no stopping you now!

Hey Shelley, we know each other from another forum. :) This is a good and supportive place to be. I love hearing about how you are fixing up your bikes and are coming into your own after a crappy marriage.

Hello! LOL ya fixing bikes. The only bike that is 100% in the EZ and today is the first day I have really taken it out. 16 miles later I can't walk because of LT knee and ankle pain. I had to slid the seat all the way back and now the seat back will not lean....back to the drawing boards.
