Sick Day=Awesome ride

I took a sick day from work yesterday to enjoy the awesome weather we had. 78* and partly to mostly sunny. I took a ride on the Macomb Orchard Trail. Heading North into farm country and apple orchards :)

I rode a total of 43 miles round trip.

I love this bridge--it is the only hill I encountered (a freeway overpass) but, that is SE Michigan for you--flat!!!

They are stunning..the pictures do not do it justice.

It is not even peak leaf color here yet...usually around 3rd week in Oct. is best time here. I will try to got out again during peak times...I just ordered some cold weather clothing so, I will have to try it out. (supposed to arrive today)

Beautiful pics! Fall makes for gorgeous scenery for bike rides :) People who don't bike just miss out...
