I'm looking for suggestions for a paint job for my carbon Orbea Diva that has been repaired. The original color was the pistachio green and the black carbon thus that is how I got the name "Grasshopper" and also quite a few jerseys to match that color. Had a crash back in June and ended up with a crack in the top tube. Now I have had it repaired at the Calfee factory in Santa Cruz. A local guy in our club has offered to paint it. He recommends a pearl white over the carbon and then a bright contrast color. He showed me one in a royal blue with black outlining on the pearl white today that really looked sharp. Then I was thinking of a deep purple/fuschia or I have always wanted a red bike...Also he can put anything on it, my name, or he makes up Italian names for his bikes.
It will be my back up bike. We had a trip planned and I needed a bike so ended up with a Giant Avail with Di2, grey. They say once you have the electric, you won't want anything else. The Diva was such a good fit and so light. I know I will enjoy riding it again. Open to any suggestions, ideas.

Can you use his royal blue design but go back to the pistachio? Or mix the pistachio with the purple/fuschia? (I accent my Bianchi's celeste with hot pink/fuschia, and I like it, but I live in Miami, so that Miami Vice look works!)

You should put a Spanish name on it since it's a Spanish bike. How about red and Carmen. Oh wait! That's MY red bike's name (made in New Mexico)!

Thanks! Both are good ideas that have me thinking. My first real road bike was a Centurion that was Celeste with pink cables. That was before they had WSD bikes in the Miami Vice days.
and yes a Spanish name.

My bike is a deep forest green and a deep purple. The lettering is silver & sparkly. It turned out quite striking and unlike any other bike on the road.
