I am thrilled to announce our new babies...
The first to arrive is large, agile, and quite flexible. He is going to be quite the athletic one when he grows up (frame only)...A new full suspension MTBike for the "almost"Hubby...a beeeeeeautiful green Turner Flux!!!!
His baby brother (haven't actually recieved it yet, but it looks like a boy from its pic) appears to be the more responsible, versatile sibling...a slightly used (only 190 miles) Surly Karate Monkey...fitted with 700 wheels but will fit 29er's (something i have wanted to try)
This bike will mainly be my commuter (found a pretty neat route yesterday...haven't ridden it yet...cold/wet + not the right clothes in the wardrobe = no riding:( ) from what i have read about the Monkey i can play around with components till pigs fly...i think this is exactly what i have been looking for...this is a funny write-up about the Monkey on Sheldon Brown's web-site...if i only had the time & $$$ to do this to various bikes...hehe

notice 2 braking systems, internal & external gearing, both style handle bars...this guy is just too much...hahahaha
Anyway...the Turner needs parts - the Monkey is being shipped ground...all we can do is wait...back to painting the house:rolleyes:
