I wear prescription glasses and contacts aren't an option for me. In January I bought a pair of Ray Ban wrap around style sunglasses so I think I'm set for road riding, but for MTB riding I really need clear being in the trees, etc. So far I've just been wearing my normal glasses, but they are the smaller style and obviously not wrap around.

Can anyone recommend a relatively reasonable priced place to order clear prescription cycling glasses?

Your optometrist doesn't carry any? Mine has a few styles of Oakleys, Rudy Project, and another brand or two. Most of them are available with clear or tinted lenses. I can also bring them in any prescription-ready glasses I purchased elsewhere (say, from Optic Nerve or Zeal directly, with our bike group sponsorships) and they will fix the lenses (though that negates any warranty on the frame). Unfortunately I can't get prescription lenses for sport style glasses so I haven't tried any.

Unfortunately with my insurance plan I'm very limited in where I can go, so no. Their selection isn't very good. If I get cycling glasses it will be out of pocket.

I have these: http://www.e-rudy.com/index_inner_detail.php?group_id=1&cat_id=&item_id=SN968102MR

I bought mine at my optometrist and they came with two sets of lenses -- racing red and a greenish one for gold. I bought the photochromic clear ones and some polarized lenses afterwards. These are geeky glasses, but extremely practical. The prescription in in teh insert, and you can swap lenses and flip them up or remove them when you go into a darker place (e.g., a store). Expensive, but worth it. I've had them for 6 years now.
