Has anyone had to ingest 2 iron pills per day upon the advice of their doctor?

I haven't done this even though I was encouraged by my doctor. After a blood test 3 months ago, I was directed to take iron supplement to ramp up my iron /red bloood cell because it was too low. Low enough that the doctor was wondering if I had any problems in dizziness or breathless.....which I haven't had any.

So I've been taking an iron supplement daily. Yes, I know I've had some cheese, egg (replacement), small amounts of meat per month. But she wanted to fast track me.

that and more but has been years. find the time released iron it is much easier to tolerate and not so hard on the digestive system. Iron can be a tough one to increase with just diet if you are really low.
