The competition sole is the one they put on their base model. It's still an aggressive sole. I thought it would be great for those of us that are dollar conscious, to throw out a less expensive option.

Thanks for the explanation. I suspect the custom shoe would still be outside of my budget, but would love to have blue mountain bike shoes. I love my Mavics, but they are white. White mountain bike shoes? Well, white bike shoes at all? I guess they must be popular though as I see a lot of them.

I love white bikes, and white accessories, but white and MTB does not go together. I discovered this last weekend when I was wearing a white running shirt and promptly ate dirt.
