It's only moved 60 miles in the past 12 hours and has dropped more rain on New Orleans in one day than Katrina did.

Hoping for the best, but worried there will be a lot of damage. I do hope at least that everyone has evacuated all areas with the slightest chance of flooding.

Also hoping for the best. Praying that the levies hold this time as well.

Hurricane Irene was a very slow storm last September. It was blowing and raining for a good 12 hours. Much less rain than Isaac, though. My extended family is in south Louisiana; I hope they are okay.

I've been trying to check on friends in south Louisiana and Mississippi - most are still without power. Sister of one friend has been flooded out. A lot of water is stacked up in Lake Pontchartrain.

Checking in from New Orleans!

All is well for the area I lived in, though I didn't get power back till yesterday. Some areas are still without power and quite a few folks are displaced unfortunately. :( The city is slowly getting back to normal although I can't find any eggs or turkey in the grocery store, lol. We'll bounce back like we always do.
