Interesting Duathalon Bike

Saw some interesting ride choices today at the Minneapolis Duathalon. Of course there were the usual Tri bikes and Lightweight road bikes, but I also saw lots of hybrids, MTB's, Comfort cruisers, Semi-recumbents, Commuters, a few junkers, but this was by far the most unusual of all.

I saw 2 people riding those elliptical bikes yesterday.
It doesn't look fun.
