I need new tires!

I am new to this. I ride a Giant Sedona with 26x1.95 tires. The ones I have now are great for dirt path and bouncing around up north, which I do alot. I need some tires for road work. I am doing some charity rides etc (25 to 50 miles) this summer and I think it will be easier going on less agressive tires. I know nothing other than most road tires don't come in 1.95. Any suggestions?

check with your lbs. there should be a few mountain bikers such as yourself who could help you decide what the correct tire will be.
