That was my day yesterday. After waiting all day long (AGAIN) for Century Link to fix my land line, they got me connected but have a horrible buzzing noise. Called customer "support" & got a woman who argued with me that my phone was actually just fine according to their "tools." (Insert Joan Crawford scream)

Had to get out. Met friends and upon leaving coffeeshop, found that a huge monsoon had hit. Could not wait it out as had a dog locked indoors who is skittish around monsoons. Sloshed to the car (in brand new Tevas) only to get the "low tire warning" indicator. Looked driveable so slowly went home. Tire is low but will probably make it to my little Honda shop.

Yup - my gratitude was that at least I had indoor plumbing.

I have argued with my local telephone company for YEARS. We have even rewired our line. I know the static and horrible noise is on their end and they are so full of "it" - but we are moving soon and I won't have to deal anymore. :D

I argued with our phone company for about a year as well. Although they did get the phone part semi sort of fixed, but never got the internet fixed at all. We moved from where we were renting to a house we bought and we changed internet companies. (Went from phone company to cable company). Still have regular phone service through the phone company though although here it has been ok, but does get the static at times.
