So, after riding something like 10 or so (15? maybe?) new bikes finally came down to two choices. The Litespeed Firenze (http://www.litespeed.com/bikes/firenze.aspx) or the Bianchi 928 Ultegra (http://www.bianchiusa.com/06_928_ultegra.html) and it was a difficult choice. The Litespeed handled a smidgeon better and because the retailer gives a 10% discount to those who are members of VeloGirls, the cost of the Litespeed was nearly 300 below that of the Bianchi.

However, that said, the Bianchi is *sexy* and just beautiful. While initially looking at seeing what each of the shops had, my eyes just got drawn to the Bianchi.

Ultimately, I decided that the ruggedness and the beauty of Titanium drew me a tad more and I am now the proud owner of a new 06 Litespeed Firenze.... and she's purty :)

Congrats!! That sure was a tough choice. Honestly, I probably would have ended up writing checks for both and then dealing with the wrath of DH later:eek:

Thanks everyone. :) I really love riding the Litespeed. Today I'm all sore from the miles yesterday. heh.

A funny thing happened yesterday too. Hubby and I had pedaled to Performance (it was a Supergo) to look for a 2nd bike kit for my Polar. While there a guy who was parked in the rack next to my bike grab his bike and left the store.

Outside he was talking to the hubby about Tufo tires and such and then went on his way. I hadn't recognized him but it turns out that he was the mechanic over at the shop where I picked up theLitespeed. Neil (hubby) mentioned that his first words when he approached Neil was.

"Wow. Didn't take her long to change the tires."

I had changed the tires from the slicks that came on the bike to Tufo's as soon as I got home riding from the bike store.
