I am looking to get a rear/seat mounted water bottle holder so I can stop carrying them in my jersey pockets. Any recommendations on a product line? XLab????

I know there are camelbacks but not sure how I feel about carrying around the camelback and sweating.

Thanks in advance for the input.

I would call around to see which LBS has rear mount bottle holders and go to the store that has the most variety (most LBS stores just stock 1 brand).

Bring your bike in along with the water bottle that you want to use in the bottle holder so that you can try out the different brands of rear mount bottle cages on your bike. My husband bought one but he had to try a few different brands before he found one that fit on his mountain bike.

I have also seen rear mount bottle holders that can hold TWO water bottles.

I use the XLab carbon on my Selle Italia Lady saddle. I love it! Yes bottles can bounce out on rough roads. But their cages are pretty grippy. It's easy to remove and put back in too.

Sorry I'm late..but I wanted to chime in and say I've had the Profile Design Aqua Rack before, and it didn't last very long at all. The plastic of the water bottle holders broke after maybe a few months of use putting bottles in & out. Also, the screws holding the bottles to the seatpost mount kept unscrewing and loosening after every single ride.

So I don't recommend it! At the same time this happened a few years ago, so it's possible they've made them better/stronger since then.

You might want to consider this idea. It will come with an option to hold two water bottle cages on the same bracket. Great Idea! :)
