I'm trying to figure this out. Took some pictures on my phone (Droid Bionic) & would like to upload them so I can have them on my computer in my pictures folder. I pulled up instructions for Google+ because the pictures stay private, unlike Facebook, but I still can't figure it out.
Does anybody know how to do this? My smart phone is smarter than me. I need a teenager!
BTW - the pictures aren't embarrassing or personal, it's just that I've read too many accounts where people saw pictures of really nice bikes (or whatever) found out where the person lived & helped themselves. I know they'd give back my dog after a couple of hours :D but don't want to worry about the bikes, etc.

I don't have that particular phone, but when I want to save photos from my phone to my pc's hard drive, I either email them to myself and then download them from the email, or plug the phone into the pc via the usb cable and transfer them over. In the latter case, when I plug the phone into the pc the phone prompts me to choose a connection type, and I have to choose the "disc drive" option (as opposed to options like "charge only").
Emailing to yourself is probably the easiest option if you only have a couple of photos to transfer.

on my iphone, the pictures phone shows up as USB external drive in the PC (My Computer > USB drvice). I just go to the folder and grab them. There are lots of other ways to do it, but you might see what you find when you plug your phone in.

Makes sense. I don't have a cord that plugs into my computer. Guess I better hit the Verizon store...

Do you not have a USB charger? I can't remember what my old HTC Incredible came with, but I think one of the things was a USB charger, then it came with a wall adaptor. My iPhone has this and both Garmin devices, too.

Yeah, check your charging cord. It is probably a USB cable plugged into a transformer that plugs into the wall outlet, so you can remove the transformer and plug the cord directly into a USB port on your pc.

I had to laugh about your dog comment!
No one would take my bike-or my dogs:

as an aside, how to you like google+? I tried it, and could not figure out how to block "what's hot" and that was the deal breaker for me. At least w/fb, there are add ons like fbpurity that make it easy to block the ticker and so on. There, I just keep my photos at friends only, that works for me.

Found it, plugged it in & managed to get the pictures into the Windows Photo Gallery where they stubbornly refuse to move into my c:/picture folder. I tried copying & they won't budge. At least they're in the computer.
I miss DOS.

I don't do google+ & very little on FB. I just read that google+ allowed you to keep pictures private - although really nothing is "private" on the net.

What do you mean, "private"? Viewable by only you? You can do that on any picture storage site I know of. It's just a matter of settings. I

You can always email them to yourself off your phone and then save to your hard drive and upload them.

I upload my pix to Picasa Web, then download them to my picture folder. Kind of convoluted......

Download the App Dropbox on your phone then follow the directions there for setting up dropbox on your home computer. You can then select whatever pictures you want, send them to DropBox and it will send them right to the Dropbox folder on your computer. It's nice becuase you can also log into Dropbox from any other computer and access your pictures there.
