I ordered a bathing suit.

What will it be, comedy, tragedy or Theater of the Absurd?!

I tried on the last suit I ordered online (and promptly returned) right after dinner. I unequivocally recommend that you try yours on with an empty stomach. The horror of what I looked like still haunts me.

A little candlelight, a little wine, some mood music, and angle the top of the mirror toward you.

I ordered a suit online after trying on a gazillion one day (my size wasn't at the store). Had it shipped to my little sister's house so it would be there when I came to visit a few days later. She opened it out of curiosity, and called me to tell me it looked HUGE...well, when I tried it on, it fit perfectly :o

I can't complain, it really looks pretty good on me, but it's a bikini with boy-short bottoms and the bottoms look pretty massive when they're just sitting there! So don't judge the suit before you try it on, either!

Thanks everyone!

I used the free shipping option, so I will have 5 to 9 days of contemplation before the big day.

I'm paraphrasing a friend of mine on Facebook, but I loved it so much that I'm keeping it.

How to get your body bikini ready:
Step 1. Stand in front of the mirror and proudly state: "B**CH, I AM FABULOUS!"
Step 2. Put on bikini.

-- gnat!

OK, this inspired me to buy my first 2 piece (not a tankini) in like 20 years. Looking at others at the pond, I deduced I am OK to wear this, but who knows when it arrives.

This and a little body hair maintenance too.

2 piece arrived.
I wore it to neighborhood pond.
Nobody fainted.
It looks OK; it actually fit well. I feel a little uncomfortable about the hip area, but, it's OK. Not sure if I will wear it in a more public venue.

Oh, good grief. I guess I messed up my order and didn't complete it (until this morning). So I'm starting my wait over.

*eye roll*

Jeez Malkin, the suspense is killing me.

Garnet Hill has a bunch of swimsuits on sale right now.

So my suit finally arrived yesterday. I had been such a basket case all day that I hesitated to try it on, but then I figured that since I was already an emotional mess, a little body image assault couldn't bring me any further down.

It's ok, I think.
Brewer said it was cute.

The top is massively constructed; so sturdy that it feels like it is filled with pieces of yoga mat. The bottoms, fit at the widest place, but feel like they could fall off when they are wet, but I'm so slow in the water that it is unlikely to ever be a problem. A big ocean wave could render me bottomless, but I'm also pretty far from any ocean. If any waves reach Salt Lake City there will be far bigger problems than my bum showing!

So, it's good. Maybe I'll go swimming.
