Just for kicks, I thought I'd do an end-of-the-year anaylsis of some of the activity on this board.

Now, I'm pretty lazy and very math impaired, so my summary is very simple and is based on total activity, not just activity during 2005.

Top 5 Posters as of 9:05 Mountain Standard Time 1/4/06

5. Trek420 with 1,561 (joined 6/23/02)
4. Irulan with 1,581 (wow! close to Trek! joined 11/21/02)
3. Veronica with 1,931 (Trek and Irulan have some catching up to do! joined 10/12/02)
2. CorsairMac with 2,186 (way behind the leader...joined 9/23/04)

and the most prolific poster:
1. SadieKate with 2,467 (average of 2.79 posts per day, joined 8/5/03)

Honorable Mentions go to jobob and spazzdog, for both being over 1,000 (Denise has a little catchup to do!) and to RoadRaven, the most prolific new-ish poster (joined 4/16/05, average of 2.85 posts per day).

If I weren't so lazy I'd do a full analysis based on join date and total number of posts. But since you can't sort the members list by posts/day, it's not happening. :D

I'm proud of you and the rest of the top 5-ers. Just think of all the days you've perked up and help and motivation you've given. I certainly am grateful for the prolificness!

I discovered that you could sort the list by the various headings by accident... It's neat looking at all the different avatars there together. And I wonder about those formerly-prolific posters that have disappeared. I hope they are out riding their bikes instead of doing two-bit analyses of the member list like myself. :p

Back in January, the most prolific poster was CorsairMac with 4.7 posts per day. Although she's only dropped to 4.14 per day, her rank has dropped to 13th!!

This board has grown so much in the short time I have been here... I remember asking Susan if we could have a separate nutrition forum and a separate sore body parts forum... she sorted the nutrition one, but felt there weren't enough people/posts for the health one...

Just wondering...Is the new list an average over some period of time, or is it just a snapshot of one particular day? If it's only one day's snapshot, then the list could change a lot from day to day depending on who's home on their computer that day or who's out doing something else that day.

100 posts in 100 days = 1 post-per-day average.
100 posts in 10 days = 10 posts-per day average.

By the way, I only counted the top 60 posters in the counts. There could be members out there with higher post-per-day averages. But if they weren't on the list of top 60 most prolific posters, they didn't get included. Sorry.

But I'm sure if there's someone out there with a super high post-per-day rate, she'll make into the top 60 soon!
