started back with John the trainer today. Oww! But it also felt good to be back to re-establishing some of the old routines.

my legs are still starting to move at 5:00AM and the construction behind us starts bashing, dumping and backing up trucks- beep beep- at 6:30 AM so I am up and out early. If my bike were here I would take advantage and ride before the heatof the day kicks in- instead I am wandering around drinking coffee and cleaning the house until its time for a civilized breakfast.

I have come to the conclusion that since the death of my FIL in January I have been pretty much in a state of clinical depression, hence the constant need for sleep. Riding long miles, day after day gave me plenty of time to think and wrestle with what I have been through in the last year. Yesterday, I was startled when my husband congratulated me on having complete a year and a day since the mastectomy so I am at least dealing with that ok. Tamoxifen is another issue but at least I am getting better at dealing with the symptoms of an oncoming attack which is good also.

If anybody is interested, I did blog the whole ride on an almost consistent every day or every other day. Please go to blogspot.com and look for cloggiespinner@blogspot.com Or you can read through my less frequent facebook updates as marni j. harang. Please respect the fact that my computer is ageing (aren't we all?) and has limited capacity and don't friend me. I can reach you just fine through this site, or if you send me a private email.

attached is a photo of Moira, the Scotch lady, Kris, my older sister, and myself at the headwaters, a group photo of most of the riders and the two guides, and bikes and riders on the bus on the way to the airport in Minneapolis
