If you wear the magnetic bracelet or necklace continually it is supposed to relieve pain. They cost anywhere between $22 and $60. Has anyone ever used one of these? Does it work? Seems like a lot of money to spend on something that may only make my wallet lighter.

My acupuncture doctor told me the magnets in those things are way too weak to do any good. Plus, if it were me, I'd tend to forget I was wearing it, and I'd be afraid that it might be strong enough to damage a magnetic hard drive, erase credit card strips, etc.

For $2 you can get a package of two small rare earth magnets from Radio Shack. Use surgical tape to tape them right on to the inflamed area before you go to sleep. Just make sure the tape is very secure so you don't lose the magnets in your bed ... DAMHIK. :o

"Scientific evidence does not support the use of magnets for pain relief."

They are fun to play with anyway.
I like the rare earth ones that will stick to each other through your hand.
