Disappointed with Gore Power 2.0 shorts

In early May I purchased a pair of Gore Power 2.0 shorts. I was REALLY excited because I've never bought myself a nice pair of shorts--always worn DH's old hand-me-downs. Yuck.

Last week I noticed a loose thread so I trimmed it off. Then more loose thread this week :( And then yesterday I noticed the inner thighs are all worn and pilly! These shorts are only 6 weeks old. My hand-me-down shorts are 10 years old and don't show this kind of wear!

Anyways, I am taking them back to the LBS where I purchased them. I hope we can work something out. Its very rare I spend this kind of money on something for myself. I'm just so frustrated.

I had similar problems with loose stitching on Gore shorts that I had purchased a few years ago. A shame because I liked them and they were fairly expensive. I'll stick w/Terry Bella shorts.

My Gores developed a hole along the inner thigh within a few uses. I was too lazy to return them. :( Apparently, they have quality control issues.

Ack, I have the Gore 2.0 knickers and 2 pair of the Oxygen shorts. I hope mine don't have issues like this. I really love their chamois in each of those models.
