I am having challenges finding a mechanic that is patient enough to set my front deraillur up so there is no chain rub On the deraillur when in the granny. It's a recumbent bike, and although the chain is much longer than a standard bike, the mechanics are the same.

Three folks on bentrideronline own this bike with a triple and do not have this issue. I know it is fixable. I have been trying to do it myself, and while I have learned a lot about the limit screw and adjusting barrels and how they effect things, I still cannot et it propery weekend.

I am thinking if trying the guys a REI. Wicked helpful and nice, and perhaps they will have the patience to do it correctly.

Don't know about Phoenix, but Ajo Bike s in Tucson specializes in recumbents....you might want to schedule a field trip here. It's probably at least 3 or 4 degrees cooler here during summer ;)

Or you might call Ajo Bikes and see who if they can recommend someone in Phoenix.

I bought the bike from Ajo, and although I love Frank to death, he does not have a decent mechanic in there. His brother is an excellent mechanic but has been out with an injury.

It was my best guess. Good luck...

Azfiddle,

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I did not mean to be discourteous. I am extremely frustrated, that's all!

Next time DBF's dad's around when I call, I'll ask. They're in Mesa. He does a lot of his own work, but I can try.

I didn't mean to sound terse, so we're even. No offense taken!

Sending you a PM
